Regulation and innovation are two sides of the same coin when it comes to successful product development in medical technology. Innovation management covers the technical and commercial approach, while regulatory affairs covers the legal framework to be complied with.

The RCBE laboratory Regulatory Affairs and Innovation for Medical Devices (RAI) combines teaching, research and coaching in this area with the aim of supporting the development and marketing of innovative medical devices in Europe within the framework of the new legislation.
